I’m always open to new ideas!

I’m thinking about yet another new book today, a non fiction book this time, not an anthology or poetry collection, and not another work in my Buster The Dog series. This new book, or rather proposed new book in early stages, may die unborn, due to having too many eggs in my basket, or it may finally become the work that really ‘makes me’, as a popular writer.
This new book has a couple of lines written about it, with reference to two thinkers/writers who have written interesting things that relate to the book I’m thinking about writing. And there is a working title, that I quite like, that I may try out certain people I know, to see what they think about my idea, whether they feel it to be a worthy or at least interesting subject to write about, based on their particular knowledge on the subject.
This will may in fact be one book, that goes on to other books, all touching on certain aspects, or it may be those particular aspects may be chapters in this particular book. Given the writing of said book is yet to begin, and the idea is not even half a day old yet, well, there’s no telling what may happen, from nothing much at all, to a fine new book, lauded by many, or something in the middle of those things …
I do know that next year will bring out a new book, a poetry collection that I am proud of, even though I am yet to see this book in a published form. It has been accepted though, and some of the poems in the book shared with others. Maybe it would be a good idea to actually share the book with other people, before it comes out …
That’s what I’m thinking might happen on Thursday coming, when I will catch up with a friend, and then my writing group has its next meeting, and then have a meal together at the venue where we meet. Knowing other writers and meeting with them regularly makes being a writer an easier thing to do.
I definitely encourage all writers to find a group, or at least other writers, who understand what you’re doing, and are supportive! It can take a few tries to find the best for you, but it’s worth it, when it all gels, and the words come more easily, and there are people to help you take the next steps, if you need that help.
I’ve had so much support myself, and they and I have benefited from it. Friends that function – Fabulous!
