My Next Anthology?

Climate/Change – Climate Change

Three choices to write about – prose, poetry, or both of them in one. Yes three different options as your inspiration for your writing, write about Climate, or Change, or Climate Change. Or combine two of them, or all three of them in the one piece of writing. That is what I’m looking for.

After the success of my last anthology, Plague Invasion, I’m looking to do it all again, with the aim to launch this new anthology at the 2022 Gawler & Adelaide Plains Festival of Words (Imagination), which is planned to happen in July 2022.

So switch on your imagination and have a creative think about this writing prompt/these writing prompts. For me, Climate Change is the big one, but Climate by itself is a big theme too, and of course, the theme of ‘Change’ has big ideas to it as well – changing school, changing your job, or your partner, or changing your gender, BIG themes, all of them.

Which way would you go with your writing? As Editor of this collection, I’m looking for compelling creative writing either Poetry or Prose, Fiction or Non Fiction. with poems of up to 30 lines, and prose of up to 2000 words. And you can submit up to three pieces of poetry, and/or of prose. Closing date for submissions for this project will be will be 27 May 2022.

This is the first notification of this new project, and I am still wondering whether it will really happen, but I feel positive about the possibilities of the broad range of possible creative writing responses I may receive. If you are interested in this anthology idea, great, I’d love to have you on board with me in getting this Anthology, with the working title (and possibly final title) of Climate/Change – Climate Change.
