Keen, or Obsessed?

This little town and the characters living in it, that I’ve created (in my head), the town of Talloola, is becoming more and more a part of my life. I think about often, and consider whether almost anything that happens, may actually happen in Talloola, and who could get killed at it. Also, who the murderer may be.

At the moment a couple of friends and I are looking at a meet up in a small town in the upper part of York Peninsula, at the house of one of us, and I’m currently wondering about the possibility of something getting deadly, if Meredith went on a similar journey.

My friend who we are visiting gave me some excellent ideas that went into the first Talloola short story, and it seems fitting that this visit ‘out her way’, may lead to another Talloola tale! Ideas, as I’ve often said, come from many places. I think the idea of my main character being away from her own place adds to the story. I hope so, anyway!

So today, I hope the beginning of that new short story may begin, and also some more of the novel. It is there waiting to be written, and (obviously) it is my task to get it written! So, I’ll make another cup of creativity (coffee), and then get on with “Winds of Death At Talloola”. Another thousand words or more for today seems reasonable.

So goodbye for now, I have that novel to get on with writing!

  1. I did indeed get some more ideas for the second short story of the Tiny Talloola Tales anthology, and I hope I will get more of that story written tomorrow. If I don’t finish it tomorrow, I should be able to finish it off the day after. Keep an eye out for it, it will be posted here once I have it written and edited, as needed.
I received some feedback today about that first Tale, and I’ll take another look at it tomorrow, and attend to a few things that need more work, in accordance with the feedback. I didn’t write it down though, so who knows if I’ll be able to remember what was said!

    1. Poison is going to be the problem, at a meeting Meredith is attending in her role as the Talloola Town Coordinator. When you work in that kind of role, there are many such meetings and workshops to attend, to keep up to date woth what others are up to, and what may be suitable for your own Town/Council.
Back when I was an office worker, I help such a job, and enjoyed it a lot, but it also kept me awake a lot too. I often woke up at around 2.30am, to think/stress about my job.
