I both created, and am now curating the Redbanks RUST & FOUND Art Installation, which is in Redbanks SA, a small township some sixty or so km north of Adelaide South Australia. The closest town to Redbanks is Mallala, which is not a big town either, but it has many things there of interest to those who are interested in history.
The photo below was taken during the opening of the Art Installation, by the Mayor of Adelaide Plains, Mark Wasley. Mark and I are both standing next to the front gate of the property where this Art Installation stands, and the gate is in fact the earliest section of the Installaltion, it being a strong and solid iron gate, nicely RUSTED!

This is actually where I live, and my front fence, and the front gate, as well as a smaller section at the front of my place make up the entirity of this Art Installation, which features over 700 individual RUSTY and or FOUND items.
When I began doing this it was with no idea it would take on importance in my life, but that is how things can go sometimes – something happens, you repond to it, it piques your interest, and the next thing you know, you’re planning to go into the business of running a tourism spot, as well as other word and other creative ideas!
The Creation and now Curation of this Art Installation are importand to me, and i’m thinking about it quite often, and seeing things that need work, or that could be displayed in better ways, as well as the collection still, of new/old items to add to this Art Work.
While there are still Rusty things to be found, I will go on looking, and finding them, for as long as I can!
